From award-winning taglines for iconic movies to websites for the world’s leading brands, I deliver premium copywriting services. My process includes extensive research, close stakeholder partnership, and rigorous execution. My first copywriting projects were writing taglines for many of the 90s most memorable movies, including Saving Private Ryan.

The challenge: Bankorus was a pre-ICO project that I helped successfully launch a new brand as their primary creative, communications, and content partner. The scope was a full-stack brand and communications strategy and execution, including naming, pitch deck, positioning, white paper, copywriting, creative, website, and a series of premium-quality blogs.

The results: $30M raise. 25,000+ Telegram subscribers. Significant engagement with high-end audience through fintech and blockchain thought leadership.  

Startup storytelling

Big-brand campaigns: Repositioning Uber

The ask: In 2017, Uber for Business was in crisis. Like the parent company, the business needed to move into profitability. For U4B, that meant pivoting from a freemium to a premium business model, supported by a multichannel campaign that included a website refresh, email campaign, an eBook, webinar, and product update.

After starting as a contract writer, the CMO asked me to help launch a campaign in six weeks. My solution: Spin up a boutique agency of world-class creatives. So I formed LMNO Studios with two design-side colleagues, signed an MSA, and negotiated a large SOW.

The scope: Brand strategy and brand voice, copywriting, content strategy, eBook, email, product content design, webinar content, user testing, and a new website.

The result: A refreshed business model and a 30%+ increase in signups.

The opportunity: In early 2021, I joined a pre-seed startup as their first marketer. Before it even had a name, SpatialPort offered an innovative approach to immersive 3D experiences that only accelerated with Meta’s ‘Metaverse’ initiative. When NFTs exploded in the Fall of 2021, SpatialPort pivoted to offer a limited set of luxury NFT watches.

The role: My role as the lead marketer was to create a brand (name, logo, mission/vision, positioning, and value props), recruit and hire a team, and manage the GTM strategy, which included a $500K+ campaign across Google, FB, IG, LinkedIn, and Tiktok.

The result: Though the market wasn’t quite ready, the social campaign — including an AR contest — and the digital ad strategy drove widespread interest in the business, which is now pivoting to custom 3D experiences.

Marketing leadership: The #betterverse campaign

Digital ads: Spotlighting trust for Snapchat

The challenge: Snapchat has tremendous loyalty with a Gen Z audience. But as an advertising platform, it has been often relegated to little more than an experimental channel for most brands.

The solution: While a creative lead, I concepted, wrote, and directed the design of a suite of ads for Snapchat Ads 2023 H1 digital ad campaign. The ads leveraged research that revealed unique value propositions that were incorporated into the ad copy. The significant increase in advertising sign-ups proved ‘trust’ is a persuasive selling point for prospective advertisers.

The scope: Collibra is the data intelligence company. As the AI revolution gains momentum, many companies are seeking ways to develop AI applications, offering a significant new opportunity for Collibra to extend its core capability to the promise of generative AI. I helped them develop a blog series about a new category in the space — AI governance — and deliver on their value prop: helping explain to current and prospective customers the value of a data-centric approach to AI.
